Current positions (Aug 2007)

Well Pict Scotland is a company still in its infancy; the last two years have seen us grow from a great concept to a company that will produce 600 tonnes of Strawberries in year two. Looking forward we believe we have a sound business plan that will again take the company forward creating new markets and positions. Based on our brief history and our future plans the following positions have arisen.

Assistant Farm Manager

A senior role that would suit a good all rounder that is looking for the next run on the ladder. You will be required to lead from the front, perspire confidence, make decisions and stand by them. Communication skills as well as being punctual and polite are paramount. As with all farming activities one should be aware of the seasonality.

Harvesting Manager

Again a full time position that requires excellent organisational and communication skills, working and managing a large seasonal workforce should not faze you. An ability to motivate and increase daily production targets will be your key challenge and the basis of production led bonuses.

Both positions offer excellent remuneration and will be based on experience, qualification and agreed targets.

Please in the first instance email your current CV and remuneration to andrewwellpict-scotland.com

Seasonal work is offered from March through to November, strawberry picking and strawberry packing starting in May and finishing in October.

As a rapidly expanding business full time positions do become available, always seeking to develop careers within the industry we have placed some of our key members of staff with affiliated businesses in Kent (UK) and as far a field as Portugal out with the Scottish season. It is worth to note that all our staff including the Directors have picked Strawberries and worked to the positions that they are in today.
